March

Mmmm pearls are yummy! Us girls in our Sunday best:

The first week of March, we headed to Red Bluff, California for our court date. After about 20-30 min in court, it was decided that a lawyer would be appointed to the birth father since he was representing himself. Court was rescheduled for 3 weeks later. So we made a fun trip out of it anyway.

Here's Elsie and I playing in the park just before one of our meetings with the lawyers. Even in stressful times, it's hard not to smile and laugh when this little ball of joy is around!

She loves to eat...and often the strangest things. We hoped for a video of a cute sour face, but she just kept eating it like it was delicious! Silly girl.

I love going home to Redding where it's warm enough to lounge in the sun by the pool in March.
It was Steph's birthday weekend, so she and Teague came out the same time.

Thirsty little sun baby:

I love when her little feet poke out of the carseat canopy. So precious!

While we were there, we hiked to the Whiskey town falls (Gorgeous!),

Elsie learned some new tricks,

and tried ice cream for the first time (LOVES it!),

Had a girls day: convertible, pedicures, frozen yogurt, shopping, etc.,

hot tub every night,

and......drum roll........Steph and Teague finally got engaged!!!! Hooray! He asked her while they were riding on the back of my dad and brother's scooters. Cute!

The three bald eagles watching a game and playing with iphones:

I also, got to try out a bunch of braids that I've been dying to do. I love sister time - would have been even better if Mimi had been there too. ;)

Three weeks later, we were back again for our court date. We've driven to and from California so many times this past year, and it always seems like we've been in the car forever once we get where we're going.

Finally at Grandma and Grandpa's. Yay!!! (more on this visit in the next post)

More March pictures of baby Elsie - she's too cute not to be obsessed with!

Little jumping bean:

So flexible - she can even sleep in this position!

Best friends!

So studious

I got to do my niece Hannah's hair for the school prom...so fun! Braiding is my new hobby

More braids:
The pull through mohawk braid
Left: Dutch fishtail   Right: pull through fancy updo
Above: spiral/seashell french braid

Daddy daughter time...they are both so cute when they sleep!

I love how happy this little girl is almost all of the time. She is a little ray of sunshine and just makes me so happy and grateful for life every day!

All dressed up and ready for church:

Cute little tush

Irresistible!
