This and That

2012 Beach trip with the family:
Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Balboa Island, Huntington Beach...Awsomeness!

What a good looking boy! I love my brother!

Look at that cute profile!

Poser Queens!

Yes, she is taller than me now, and still growing!
Cruisers on the boardwalk. Always a good time! I could definitely live on the beach!
 Sweater Twins! Love Newport Beach!

When did my baby siblings grow up! They're not so little anymore...whatever, they'll always be my babies!

Olympics on TV every night...these two couldn't get enough!

Glamour shots with Julia in our hotel:

This is how Stephanie plucks Julia's eyebrows...1-2-3, PINNED!

Mimi, Jude, Steph, Steven, and my mom all came out for my cousin Jordan's wedding. A lot of the family was here and it was really fun to  see all our cousins and their babies. This was my favorite little visitor!
Barf Vader acting cool in Mike's shades! Such a cutie patootie!

Cutest twin cousins ever! ... reunited!

First time I'd gone to Music and the Spoken Word while living in Utah. Truely and amazing experience every time! It sounds like you're in heaven when they are singing. I need to do this more often. It's so close!

Mom and her siblings with grandma. Good looking bunch!

Photobomb!

Angel Baby Jude doing the Eensy Weensy Spider song with Aunt Stephy. So cute!

My sister Mimi is really good at blogging and making these sweet collages...I'm not, so I stole hers. Cute pics of their visit to SLC. So fun!

"My favorite Aunty Missa let me eat jam out of the packet for breakfast...MMmmm!"

Steph and Scar having a moment...so cute!

Delicous treats from Kneaders with Mom...couldn't resist! Mmmmm!

I made this scarf and that skirt out of some of Mike's old T-shirts. I saw the idea on Studio 5 (talk show in Utah). I love that show...great ideas!

First day of high school! Can't believe it!

What is that?! My foot, with a huge bee sting in the middle. After not even 5 minutes at Seven Peaks one day, I saw a bunch of bees on the grass next to where we set up our stuff. I said out loud, "I hope I don't step on a bee, they're everywherrrrrrraahhhhhh!" and I had already stepped on one. It hurt so bad! I haven't been stung since I was little. I was fine the rest of the day, and then it got red and itchy for like 3 days after...aweful! Itchy foot that I can't scratch cause I'm in shoes and socks during a whole night shift...torture! It swelled up too...I hope I'm not allergic suddenly.

Finally arrived back in Utah after a LONG car ride (Jules and friend going to EFY, Mom and Steven to St.George, us...home sweet home again). That trip is brutal, and we just keep driving it...I can't even count how many times I've made that trip during my life!

Temple square and Blue Lemon with my cousins and their cute babies!
We like to cuddle

Cutest babies ever!

Visiting Steven at BYUI

Beautiful Utah Sunsets! This picture doesn't even do justice! View from Bountiful Temple on a special ward temple night.

Yes, that is cheese! A little excessive, don't you think!

 27! Dang! I'm getting old!

Grandpa Parker loved his scouting/girls camp quilt! Nailed it!

My birthday twin and niece Olivia at her baptism. So cute!

Beulah has finally moved on from the Madsen family. After 7 years of being passed around from Mimi, to Dad/Steven, to Me and Mike; this hunk-o-junk has run great for us despite melting our faces in the Summer (no AC), and losing her power steering almost completely. You were good to us Beulah! Don't worry, we found her a good home...someone who will actually take the time to fix her up.

Pioneer Day in Salt Lake City and Liberty square. This is a huge holiday in Utah! You can barely go anywhere in the morning cause of all the parades and it's not much better at night due to all the fireworks. I love fireworks...but hate crowds almost more!

Being a labor and delivery nurse is a tough job and can be really stressful! But we try not to take everything too seriously. I swear some nights I'm in tears with laughter. I work with some pretty funny people!

Sometimes it's fun, sometimes scary, stressful, intense, but I'm always on my toes and it can be a total rush!...and most days, I enjoy what I do and I like my job.

My latest project:
Looks like a whole new couch now!

  2. You're so talented! Look at you sewing away! I already told you what I think about everything, but I want to know how you did those pillow covers for your couch. I need to do the same thing, but I've never done it before. Did you use zippers??

Also, here's the link to the sort of project I was going to make for Josh, but you can if you're bored or interested. It's a big bag/blanket for Legos, so you can them outside or wherever you want to play. Just pull the drawstring when you're done and it cleans them up and stores them easily. Hope that makes sense. Here's the link.

I definitely wouldn't make it as complicated as this pattern does, but hopefully you get the idea. Let me know what you think.
